Update XLIV

This week I plan to have the major land mass for the marina done. This includes the groin, grassy areas, and all foliage. If I finish that with enough time I will begin work on the parking lots and buildings and such.

Starting today i was placed in mandatory lunch workshop in the lab in order to get more progress done on my project. Mr. Alfonse thinks that this will help me to move along more quickly on my project. I howerver disagree on the terms that it will not matter in the end...

The progress is very much underway for the marina. Today I plan to Creat the board shaft out of plywood that will allow us to seperate our marine into two different pieces. One structural and one civil.

The past two weeks have been the worst weeks of my life. However, despite my entire world boiling down into fiery pot of despaire, I did accomplish a fair sum of work on my marina. I would estimate that I will be finished with the final model within the next three weeks.

Today is wednesday, April 7th, a day 2. Please stand, face the flag, and join us in the pledge of allegiance. We have just returned to school from a long spring break. Unfortunately, I spent quite a large majority of the break overseas in England and Scotland. The reason that this is unfortunate is because I did not make any progress on my green marina project at all during the break. However, it is now the time to get down to business. Between now and friday, I intend to have several goals completed. These goals consist of the following: complete structural makeup of all buildings, complete color painting on all buildings, attach all buildings to their designated areas of the marina.

Today We will be down in the shop all day working on our construction. The first thing we must do is cut out our plywood for the base.

Yet another set of wheather downfalls has cast our hard works in progress into tired delayed excuses for projects. Last week I only successfully completed 3 days of full work. Thursday and Friday were snow days yet again. It seems as if God see it fit that this project never have an end. Today I have successfully printed out our design on E sized paper and tomorrow we will begin actual production work.

And now, in the interest of equal time, here is a message from the National Institute of Pancakes: It reads, and I quote, “Fuck waffles.”

Mr. Alfonse finally got some E sized paper, so I think I will print out my AutoCAD drawing on the paper and use that as a base to build my model. We will apply it to the plywood and begin cuttung ASAP.

Its time to get back into the groove. We had presidents day off yesterday, which unfortunately shortens this week to only 4 days. This week I plan to seriously begin production of my model with my partner. We will visit the systems lab several times this week to get to work. I hope to get off to a good start with a lot of hard work.

Update XXXIV

Today is Friday February 12th. I did not complete any of the tasks that I wished to accomplish this week due to the 2 snow days that we had, and the fact that I was sick on tuesday. All of my work is going to have to be pushed back for a few days at a time until I can figure out how to make up all of the time that I missed. Im sure it wont be too bad to make up these 3 days, however today and next week, it will be hard to get back into the groove because of the snow days and the long weekend this week.

This week I have completed filling in my calendar for the 3rd marking period. I also worked with one of my instructors in order to better filter my developmental work. Next week I will begin my construction/production work.

Update XXXII

It is the start of the 3rd Marking period. We have an all new set of goals that need to be accomplished for this section in order to move us closer to our final destination. Currently I am working on the completion of my calendar for the 3rd marking periods goals, so that everyone can follow what I will be working on for my project at any given time. The Calendar will show all of my assignments for the next few months. You can see my calendar at the bottom of my blog.

It is midterm week at M.A.S.T. and even though I am a senior, I am not exempt from mid term exams like every other school in the country. For my systems midterm I will be creating a formal report of progress to send in the form of a letter to my mentor so that he is up to date with my progress so far. Besides that I also have to finish my mentor contacts, and have all my logs completed on my blog this week.

Today is tuesday the 19th. We have only four days of school this week, because we had off for the celebration of the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Junior yesterday (Which is actually 3 days after his real day of birth on January 15th). Today is my only chance to prepare a formal report of progress outline in class. Tomorrow we will jump right in to the formal reports of progress, and they will be presented until everybody has finished on friday. My partner John and I will be presenting our formal report on thursday. I will spend the remainder of this class period, along with all the free time I have at home to prepare my presentation so that I am ready to go on thurday.

Update XXIX

Monday afternoon, and our technical math and science report is due tomorrow. I did not get much done over the weekend so I'm going to have to push this out today and tomorrow in order to meet the deadline. After tuesday I will begin working on my mentor contacts sheet and my report of progress.

Update XXVIII

All week long I have been viciously working on my math/science report and my drawings, but I did not think I would finish by today. Fortunately our generous instructors extended the deadline to next tuesday. I should have everything done by then.

We just returned from the long christmas break. Unfortunately I did not have any of my work with me at home so I could not update my blog until today. I hope that my instuctors do not mind that I am just now blogging my developmental work. This week I plan to be busy working on my drawings. I will blog my progress at the end of the week.
